Accessibility Statement
At the Bloody Tour of York, we are committed to ensuring that all guests have an enjoyable and inclusive experience. We acknowledge the diverse needs of our visitors and strive to provide an accessible environment for everyone.
Wheelchair Accessibility
Our tour is wheelchair friendly, and we have designed the route to accommodate guests with mobility challenges. Rest stops will be available along the way for those who need to take a break or recharge.
Support for Guests with Hearing Impairments
For guests who are hard of hearing, we recommend standing directly in front of our storyteller, Mad Alice, to catch every word. Those who prefer to lip read will also find it easier to do so from this vantage point.
Support for Blind and Partially Sighted Guests
We understand that some guests may have visual impairments. We will make every effort to position individuals as close to Mad Alice as possible, ensuring her voice can be easily heard above any ambient noise.
Carer Tickets
To further support our guests, we offer free accompanying carer tickets available with the purchase of an adult ticket. For children requiring assistance from a carer, an adult ticket must be purchased, and the child will be able to join the tour free of charge.
Guide Dogs
We welcome guide dogs on our tour. We understand the importance of service animals and ensure that they will be accommodated throughout the experience.
We are committed to making our tours as accessible as possible and welcome any specific needs or requests. If you have any questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us prior to your visit.
Thank you for choosing the Bloody Tour of York. We look forward to welcoming you!
