The Bloody Tour of York has teamed up with the very First York Georgian Festival to bring you a unique walking tour.

Learn about how most Georgians would entertain themselves…hangings!

Taking in the sights of some of the most beautiful Georgian architecture in the city, learn about the City’s most notorious prison and its occupants. Highwaymen and witches this tour has it all and find out why William Curry was the most despised hangman in the country.

Running everyday of the festival at 4pm these tours will meet outside the York Gin Shop on pavement to hear about how Gin played a pivotal part in Georgian Society, though no Gin will be served!
